Supported by the warm care and sponsorship of the Korean Church, Ambakandawila Church, located in the Chilaw region of Sri Lanka, renovated its sanctuary and held a heartfelt service of rededication to God.
On July 28, Ambakandawila Church completed its remodeling work and held a meaningful rededication ceremony attended by local church members, a volunteer team from Toegyewon Church, and government officials.
This remodeling project was prompted by an evangelistic series held in January by the West Central Korean Conference Women’s Ministries, led by female members of Toegyewon Church. Following that mission, Toegyewon Church directed its overseas mission efforts toward Ambakandawila Church. Deeply moved by the church's old and dilapidated condition, Toegyewon Church decided to fully support the remodeling project.
Toegyewon Church provided early financial support to empower the project, while the members of Ambakandawila Church worked side-by-side with untiring dedication, aiming to worship in the newly restored church before the start of the next evangelistic series. Thanks to their joint efforts, a touching rededication ceremony was held on the very first day of the series.
Leaders and members of Ambakandawila Church expressed their gratitude, saying, "We extend our deepest thanks to the members of Toegyewon Church in Korea for making this renovation possible through their generous support and prayers. With this newly renovated church as our stepping stone, we will strive to become a mission hub that spreads the love of Christ to our local community."
